What
is the Ashe Massage Center and who
is Marjorie Shinkle?
The Ashe Massage
Center is the culmination of a dream
for Marjorie Shinkle.
As she says,
"I truly want to help people by
eliminating or reducing their pain.
My goal is to restore function,
flexibility, and range of motion so
that people can live a full and
active life and not be restricted by
their pain."
Marjorie has
been a practicing massage therapist
since 1999. With over a 1000
hours of advanced training, she has
studied in-depth anatomy and
physiology, evaluation techniques,
manual therapy, neuromuscular
therapy, therapeutic exercise, and
neuromuscular re-education.

| Marjorie
is a member of the American
Society of Clinical
Pathologists, the United States
Medical Massage Association,
Associated Bodywork & Massage
Professionals. She is
nationally certified in
Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork
and is nationally certified in
Medical Massage.
Additionally, she is licensed by
the state of North Carolina as a
massage and bodywork therapist
(NC license #2181).
 Marjorie and
the Ashe Massage Center do
accept referrals from local Ashe
County doctors and can directly
bill auto insurance or workmans
comp for injuries. The
Ashe Massage Center is a
participating provider with the
Whole Health Network.
Remember,
however, you don't have to have
a doctor's referral to take
advantage of Marjorie's
services. Many clients
come in on their own simply
because they feel so much better
after a therapeutic massage (see
TESTIMONIALS).
Marjorie
has lived in Ashe County since
2002 with her husband and two
dogs.
